This is the 7th soccer biography I've read by the author and although they are written for kids, I thoroughly enjoyed all of them. I've read a few to the kids and then after a while, I just bought them for myself so I could have all of them. This book on Suarez, who has had a controversial career, is special. It has a lot of heart and it really explains what was going on in his head throughout the years and how he totally turned his life around. Recommended.
This wonderful soccer star had a rough start but in the end has come into his own. Luis Suarez comes from extreme poverty and a broken home but always landed back on his feet with the help of a loving brother and mentors like Leo Messi. Our family loves these soccer biographies by Mr Part and this latest edition doesn't disappoint!
This was a gift for my nine year old son and he loved it!
This was a great read. I have been playing soccer since I was little and It was really cool getting to read about him. As a huge sports fan I always like reading about the players and what they went through to get to where they are at today. 5 star, highly recommend for any soccer player or soccer fan. Most young fans of the sport look up to the professional soccer players and will learn quite a bit from this book. It really highlights the fact that he wasn't just born with star talent without tons of practice. It also highlights his struggles since growing up.This would be a nice gift for anyone young or old who enjoys biographies

And it also preaches the powerful moral that succumbing to self-pity or the conviction that you’re a victim is a sure route to failure, while overcoming that temptation and being willing to sweat to achieve is the only means to greatness. It's a quick-reading treat.
Absolutely loved this book. One of the most well-written soccer books I've read, and Suarez's story is so moving!
