About the Author
Padre Pio (1887-1968) was born Francesco Forgione, lived most of his life as a Fransiscan Capuchin friar in Italy, and was canonized by Pope John Paul II in 2002. I have to say after reading this book I had no idea that Padre Pio was so intensely devoted to Jesus. He is very "real" and "raw" but deeply spiritual. He was a special soul with healing miracles and I have a deep interest in him and faith in him.
This man was one of the main reason's my husband had a major spiritual enlightenment. Such a holy man was Padre Pio and what a beautiful soul.
I was first interested in reading his book because of his receiving the stigmata. I soon found out that he has a lot to say about all kinds of things in this world that you and me are grappling with every day of our lives. I highly recommend this and all of his writings.
