My 10-year old grandson has expressed interest in Sudoku, but as a beginner, I knew he would find this hobby more enjoyable if he found success right away in learning. I ordered this book for him to learn the basics with 4 box 4 square puzzles and later go on to the common 9 box 9 square puzzles. There are lots of the simpler puzzles to complete. I am looking forward to time spent with him on this hobby I enjoy a lot. If he finds this is not his thing, I am sure his younger sister will enjoy trying them out. This is a good choice for anyone introducing children or anyone else to Sudoku.
My kindergarten-age grandson is having a great time with this. When I get out my sudoku book, he gets this one and we work puzzles together. As with most sudoku books, the puzzles get progressively harder. I think he will be working on this one for quite a while.
I actually bought this for myself. I am 65 years young, had a pretty bad stroke a few years ago and my doctor suggested working with books like these might help my memory some. I think he's right!!
We've only done a few puzzles so far, but I like it. I think it's good. I've done them myself as an adult, because getting my kids "into" them hasn't worked so far. This book has levels of varying difficulty, and I think it's a great starter -- for kids as well as adults.
The title includes "for kids," but I have done some of the puzzles myself. It is nice to start easy and work into the tough stuff. A lot of puzzles for a good price.
My seven-year-old son is doing this book and loving Sudoku! So far he has completed​ about 30 puzzles and really enjoys doing them. It's a great relaxing activity that does not involve the screen, yay!
This is a really nice book but it is definitely for young beginners. The company was very gracious with my return.
Very good book for kids that want to learn. It starts with 4X4s so that they understand the mechanics and gradually inreases difficulty.
